Today is the first day of the rest of your life….
Death is a daily happening in the life of a believer and so is resurrection. When you come across people who deliberately offend you to get a reaction, you must die to self-ambition to react. You must choose to die to self thought, ‘I am going to slap you upside the head!’ You must die to screaming and cursing them out, because that is what human flesh wants to do to those who are ugly, hateful, degrading and mean to you. Be honest with your self. Don’t you want to just reach out and smack a knot on their heads?
The Lord says, ‘
Matthew 5:3-9
3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled
7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
The true Christian, the true Child of the living One True God must die to self and be resurrected to the blessed life He offers you daily. Manna can only be gathered daily, it must be lived daily and you must obey daily – WHY? Read verse 8. That is the only way you are going to SEE GOD.
A lot of people evoke the name GOD, but God is His title, not His Name. To know His True Name – you must have a pure heart……and then He will reveal His true name and you can see Him.
