Hello World…. Spiritual Gifts revisite…

My friend just called me… We are really good friends and we can say just about anything to each other and tell it like in plain truth and still be good friends….Those are the people you can trust with your life….She said she wanted to be in my Class that I am going to teach on Spiritual Gifts starting July 15  @  9:30 a.m. at Riverside Church of God in Powder Springs, Ga.    I told her  to come on girlfriend and she said, “My husband does not think much of me coming to class.”  I asked her, “What does God think?”  She is still thinking on that one…

My husband does not think much about Spiritual Gifts either  I wonder if that is a ‘Man-thing”?    God gives  us gift to use and grow the body of Christ with because He wants us to GROW UP in  Him…  Gifts are freely given to those God trust to use them for His glory and they are given without repentance.  That means He isn’t sorry He gave them to you….BUT   He sure would  like for you to use them….

Have you ever given someone a gift and then you never see it again?   I have. I gave my sister a quilt for Christmas. I had designed it, picked out the fabrics,  cut and hand quilted it for her.   I have never seen it on her bed or laid out for anyone to see.  I asked her one time about it and she said, “Well, I didn’t want to get it dirty so I wrapped it up in plastic and put it in the top of the closet so it will stay clean and pretty.”  In 100 years from now when she is and I am dead and gone, that quilt will probably still be wrapped up in plastic rotting away in the back of the closet never to be used or seen by anyone.   I wonder if God feels as bad about giving gift to people who won’t use them as I felt about that quilt that took me 5 months to make for her.  I would have at least put it on the bed in the winter time to keep warm with.

God’s gift must be used or we will lose them… If you don’t know what your gifts are, read the word. Find a gift test and take it to see what you tend toward and cultivate the gift that God give you. Pray and ask Him to show you how to be all that He has called you to be and just get in there and do it.  He is going to ask you one day, “What did you do with My Son Jesus and the gifts I gave to you?”

What is your answer going to be?
