Hello World……The Lord is Good….

A couple of weeks ago, a friend brought me a book she wanted me to read. I thanked her and took it, placed it inside my notebook and left it laying on a table in a class room. About 2 1/2 hours later, I went back and picked up the notebook from the class room and headed home. I took the notebook in and lay it on a chair near the front door and forgot about the friend’s book.

During the week, the book came to my mind  and I found my notebook, opened it and looked for the book. I search the entire notebook, went to my car and searched the seat and floorboard — nothing. The book had vanished. I was upset that I had lost her book so I  first went on the internet and searched for the book, “Unavailable”. Then I went  to the Christian bookstore in my neighborhood and was told, “We don’t have that book and can’t order it without the UPC code.”

I had no choice but to tell my friend that I had lost her book. I had not even gotten to read it, and had totally lost it. She and I went back to the class room to see if it had fallen out and was still there since the classroom had not been used since I had left it. Nothing. WE PRAYED.  We asked God to help us find another book, if that one was not going to be found. A week and a half later, after I had torn my house apart looking for that book, I went to bed highly stressed and  as I lay praying, I asked God, “Why did I lose that book? Father, You know where it is and You can bring it back to me> Please, Lord, I am asking in Jesus Name for you to bring that book back to my hands! I love you Lord and You always answer my prayers. PLEASSSSSSEEEEEE!”

I soon fell asleep and slept late the next morning. As I went down the stairs, I stopped dead in my tracks at the foot of the stairs:

THERE, laying on the table, under the CD shelf, in plain sight was my friend’s book. Just sitting there like a big present from Father.

I jumped and shouted and praised the Lord….for HE is Good and He knows what, when and how to bring the best to us when we cry out to Him with love and tears. The Message in the book was for me.  You can always count on God to be on time, when you ask, seek and knock………… in faith believing that what you ask is according to His will.

Hello World…. Keeping and Doing it in faith….

My friend had surgery and she is hurting and depressed over all that has happened to her. What can she say? What can she do? Where can she turn too for comfort?
After my surgery on a broken shoulder, I thought I would never get well or over the pain. Moving my arm was the worst thing I could think of doing – but I had too if  I was ever going to get back to normal, said  my Doctor..

I prayed, “LORD, Help me with this pain!”

His reply, “Move my Child and it will not hurt as much later.”

I did and it is healed and I am back to normal.

Obedience is better than sacrifice.

Hello World…….I take my Focus off the battle…

Years ago – the day I got saved,  the Lord spoke to my heart and said: “I will never leave you, nor forsake you – you are mine and I AM yours–forever”

He made a promise to me that day and I have never forgotten it  This past week-end, on Sunday evening,,  my sister read a daily promise word to me from her devotional that was posted on my Birth Date. As she read it, I began shouting and praising the Lord for He was touching me again  reminding me again with that Word  – This is what she read to me:

I have promised to never leave nor forsake you, my child. That includes when I call you into battle. I am a trustworthy leader. I don’t give my recruits an assignment and then stand by and watch them fail. I painstakingly prepare my soldiers for every fight. Victory is assured when you put your confidence in me as your Commander-in-Chief.  My servant Deborah told Barak that I was going  ahead of him to give my people success. She did not focus on the enemy’s numbers or their might; she knew they were no obstacle for me. Her faith gave Barak courage.  So quiet your fearful heart, dear one. I have not lost sight of you. In fact, I have gone before you, I know all the strategies of the enemy and will teach you how to defeat every scheme.   I won’t leave you to fight on your own. You and I together–we’re invincible.

We must always take our focus off the battle and put it on the LORD.

Hello World…..Healing Your life through laughter…..

Have you ever gotten up in the morning and wondered?  Is this all there is?  What is going on in this world? Where is happiness? Why did I loose my job?

I have;  but then I turned around and picked up my husband’s funny book, Healing thru Laughter by Charles & Francis Hunter…. on page 126 I read;

A woman came home, screeched her car into the driveway, ran into the house and shouted at the top of her lungs:
“Fred, pack your bags, I just won the lottery!” Fred said:  “That’s great. what should I pack—beach stuff or mountain stuff?” The wife yelled back, “It doesn’t matter….just get out!”

Someone always has it worse than you do – so laugh a good laugh and remember:

Phillipans 4:19 states:  My God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Think about it!

Hello World…….For the Truths Sake

What is Truth?  Some well know but little understood soldier asked this question many years ago and people today are still asking that question.

What is truth to you?  Do you know the truth? Is the Truth enough for your daily bread?

John 8:32 states And you shall know the truth and the truth shall  make you free. You can know facts as truth but facts can many times lead you to false truth.  A little error and a little truth makes for nasty bed fellows. Why?  Because a little error mixed with a little truth gives you a partial lie which can take you farther from the truth that you want to be. Bondage is mixing truth and error and calling it truth which in reality is deception.

Think about it…….

Hello World Git up and Go!!

This is the Day the Lord has made – GIT  ups and Go…

Mark 4:39  And Jesus arose and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, Peace, be still and the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will go out and buy expensive fishing equipment, stupid looking clothes, a sports utility vehicle, travel a thousand miles to the ‘hottest’ fishing hole and stand waist deep in cold water just to he can outsmart a fish.  (Average cost per fish:  $395.68)

Have a wonderful day!

Choose this day Whom you will serve…..

Someone asked me,  CAN  YOU REALLY CHOOSE WHOM YOU WILL SERVE?  My answer was “Yes Dear, you can choose everything you do daily by yes or no as I have done for the past 45 years of this marriage.”

You can not, however, serve two masters….

Matthew 6:24  states no man can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one, and love the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

Each day we must make choices that determine our future so it is important to make our choices yeah and amen.
